Editorial board structure

Editor-in-Chief

Oversees peer review and overall journal strategy. Approves or declines handling Editors' decisions. Acts as ambassador and ensures academic quality.

Associate Editors

Handle peer review for assigned submissions in multidisciplinary scopes. Decide publish, revise, or reject.

Editorial Board

Contribute as reviewers and authors, increasing journal credibility in the academic field.

Duties of editors

Decision on publication

Editors decide which submitted articles should be published, guided by journal policies and legal requirements regarding libel, copyright, and plagiarism.

Fair play & confidentiality

Manuscripts are evaluated on intellectual merit. Editorial staff must not disclose manuscript information except to authors, reviewers, and the publisher.

Conflicts of interest

Editors must recuse themselves when conflicts exist. Co-editors least conflicted are assigned when editors submit as authors.

Special issues

Special issues are often devoted to emerging topics or conferences. Proposals require a title, Guest Editor details, scope description, keywords, and schedule. Guest Editors should not hold conflicts of interest with submitting authors.

Articles submitted to Angus Academic Press journals are subject to rigorous peer-reviewing process. Single-blind review is used upon request and per journal policies. Reviewers and external editors access the submission system via deep-link. At least two coincident review comments per manuscript are requested. After acceptance, the Managing Editor organizes copyediting, English editing, and final production.
