Abstract
In an era of accelerated digital transformation, shortened knowledge cycles, and unprecedented opportunities and challenges for mainstream ideologies, leveraging digital media technology to upgrade content and innovate formats of "micro ideological education" in university sports has become an inevitable choice. This approach strengthens students 'ideological security awareness while aligning with technological trends, addressing practical teaching challenges, and matching cognitive characteristics. Guided by Marxist methodology, this study employs comprehensive research methods including questionnaire surveys, field investigations, expert interviews, and empirical research. By integrating interdisciplinary technical concepts and innovative teaching approaches with the current development status of ideological education in Chinese universities, it explores the paradigm restructuring and practical pathways of digital media empowerment in university sports. Through case analysis of Beijing XX University, the study reveals that the average student evaluation score for physical education courses exceeds 90 points. The university's undergraduate physical fitness test compliance rate has steadily increased from 87.38% in 2019 to 95.2% in 2024. The university's sports teams have collectively won 500 trophies and medals in provincial-level competitions, including 11 team championships, 19 runner-up titles, 154 gold medals, and 154 silver medals in individual events. Therefore, the three-dimensional paradigm of digital media technology empowering higher education's "micro-political education" in sports-encompassing cognition, methodology, and evaluation-along with the practical pathways of "data governance, supply-demand matching, capability enhancement and cross-domain collaboration"- demonstrates significant effectiveness. This approach facilitates the deep integration of sports education and ideological-political education in universities, achieving seamless convergence between digital media technology and sports political education. It reveals the transformative value of digital media technology in elevating the leadership of "sports + political education," provides theoretical support for digital empowerment in educational model, and paves new development pathways for reshaping the educational ecosystem.
