Abstract
This paper discusses the potential for implementing innovative teaching methods in Chinese business schools, with a focus on active learning, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven platforms, and simulation-based learning. Driven by technological advancements and the pressures of globalization, Chinese institutions are increasingly incorporating a diverse blend of modern teaching strategies. Over the years, business education in the Chinese higher educational system has been teacher-centered and test-oriented. Nevertheless, incorporating approaches such as active learning and AI tools presents opportunities to increase student motivation and participation, while also enhancing learning outcomes. Obviously, traditional cultural barriers also pose significant challenges to the successful implementation of these approaches. Chinese cultural values that emphasize authority and respect for teachers can also conflict with the interactive, student-centered approach of many Western teaching methods. This paper examines the potential opportunities and challenges for these innovations in Chinese business education. It serves as a reference to faculty, administrators, and government officials on how to address the barriers they encounter.
